SUSTO Old Fashioned
A staple in any recipe book, the SUSTO Old fashioned is an agave-based riff on the classic whiskey Old Fashioned that mixes mezcal with Angostura bitters and syrup.
A staple in any recipe book, the SUSTO Old fashioned is an agave-based riff on the classic whiskey Old Fashioned that mixes mezcal with Angostura bitters and syrup.
2 oz SUSTO Mezcal
0.5 oz Turbinado Simple Syrup*
4 dashes Angostura Bitters
Fill cocktail shaker about a quarter of the way with ice and combine ingredients into shaker. Stir gently with a bar spoon. Strain over a fat ice cube in a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange twist and a Luxardo maraschino cherry. * Turbinado simple syrup: Combine equal portions of turbinado sugar and water (e.g. 1 cup of each) and heat until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool and refrigerate until use.
